A useful scanner has to manage camera geometry, image quality, page state, text recognition, and PDF assembly without making the user operate each subsystem manually.
Document-boundary geometry
Detected page corners are used to correct perspective and isolate the document from the camera frame before cleanup and export.
Quality signals
The review model looks for capture conditions that commonly reduce readability—including blur, glare, incomplete edges, and occlusion—so weak pages can be replaced early.
On-device OCR
When searchable text is enabled, recognition is designed to run locally and produce a text layer associated with the scanned page rather than uploading the document for processing.
Non-destructive page workflow
Page order, review changes, and undo state are maintained before final PDF assembly, allowing the document to be corrected without rescanning every page.
